The Political Compass
Explanation:
Gives you your position on a 2-dimensional map of political space. The two dimensions help to differentiate different positions which are harder to classify on the often used 1-dimensional scale. For example, the political compass easily differentiates classical conservativism (which is economically right and socially authoritarian) from libertarianism (which is economically right but socially libertarian).
Economic Left/Right: -7.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.31
Also, note that the site has a mapping of all the major parties in upcoming elections in Canada and the USA. It's interesting to see what party is closest to you.
The IPIP-NEO (from the Personality Test Center)
Most online personality tests are complete bullshit, but this one is decent. I don't know how credible the test is, nor the theory it is based on, but at the very least it is amusing to see your results.

I found some of the term usages kind of weird - for example, notice how my altruism is very high while morality is average. The explanation of morality is "High scorers on this scale see no need for pretense or manipulation when dealing with others and are therefore candid, frank, and sincere. Low scorers believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary." Even with that in mind, I don't really understand why my morality (which really should be "sincerity" or something) isn't higher.
Unfortunately I think you have to complete the test yourself in order to get the explanations of all of the categories, and it is way too long to paste here.
Anyways, if you are bored (or already have the results from one of these tests), do one of the tests and post your results! Also if you know of another decent test like these, let me know and maybe I'll add it.
